Common questions

What is Coinovo?

Two things under one roof. First, a set of calculators with real numbers: current prices, transaction fees, power costs by country and 85 miner models compared. Second, a game in which you build a mining farm without putting money in.

Does it cost anything?

No. There is no sign-up, no account and nothing to pay. What you earn in the game is a number in your browser, not money.

Can I earn real Bitcoin with it?

No, and that is deliberate. Anyone promising you returns without a stake has something else in mind. Here you learn what the arithmetic looks like, and the calculators show what real mining would cost.

Where is my data?

In your browser storage. Watchlist, holdings, address list and game progress go nowhere. There is no account for them to be written into.

Where do the numbers come from?

Prices from CoinGecko, with Binance in reserve. Blocks, fees and hashrate from mempool.space. Power prices from Eurostat data, machine figures from manufacturer specifications. Every page names its source at the bottom.
